AUTOMATIC DOORS - COMPRESSORS FOR RAIL SYSTEMS
Leading manufacturers of automatic door systems for trains and buses are currently converting their products from pneumatic to mechanical systems. The disadvantages of pneumatic systems include the high degree of required maintenance and the susceptibility to failure due to overloading or vandalism.
In addition, misalignment cannot be corrected through a pneumatic connection of the components. This in turn places increased demand requirements on production.
The solution is to connect the drive motor directly to the train or bus door via a flexible R+W elastomer coupling. Due to the elasticity of the elastomer insert, impact and vibration are dampened, thus protecting the entire system.
