WIND POWER – EFFICIENCY THROUGH PRECISION
The rotary components in wind power plants can be positioned precisely in order to generate wind power optimally only with the help of high resolution sensors and rotary encoders. To connect these rotary encoders, MK and BK series torsionally stiff couplings are required to transmit the measurement results accurately. In addition, the couplings must be durable enough to withstand the environmental conditions in onshore and offshore wind power plants over their service life.
In addition to shock, vibration and contact with corrosive agents such as salty sea air and lubricants, there is often a -40°C to +100°C operating temperature range requirement to contend with in many cases.
