Line Shaft Model EZV with split clamping hub

Design:
Full split hubs with an elastomer insert and precision machined aluminum tube.
Both coupling bodies are solid joint by two tubes with high concentricity. While loosening the tube clamping, a length variation is possible within the given range.
Elastomer inserts are available in type A (shore hardness 98 A) or B (shore hardness 64 D).

Temperature range:
-30 to +120° C (3.6 F to 270 F)
The temperature range depends the choosen Elastomer insert.

Torsional stiffness:
Depends on the Elastomer insert.

Backlash:
Absolutely backlash-free.

Material:
Clamping hub: high strength aluminum Elastomer ring: precision molded wear resistant, and thermally stable polymer Intermediate tube: precision machined aluminum tube, steel or composite tube are upon request available.

Service life:
R+W Line Shafts are maintenance-free and have an infinite life, if the tolerances are not exceeded.

Fit tolerance:
On the hub/shaft connection 0.01 to 0.05 mm.

Non-standard application:
Custom designs with varied tolerances, keyways and non-standard material are available upon request.

Possible applications for Line Shaft EZV:

Jaw Line Shaft EZV with variable length

After loosening the clamping screws, the axial moveable tube can be adjusted into the solid pipe. After reaching the axial position, the clamping bolts must be fastened under notification of the given tightening torque. The pipe of the moveable coupling part is exactly supported by the solid pipe part. A high concentricity is warranted.
