Torque Limiters and flexible Shaft Couplings made of stainless steel

FAQ - Torque Limiters, flexible Shaft Couplings and Line Shafts

Conical clamping hub Coupling

Q) When is a conical clamping hub coupling necessary?
A) Keyless conical clamps in the shaft hub significantly increase the holding force of any rotary coupling. Applications where a high acceleration torque, reversing load, or hard stop is involved will appropriately use a conical clamping hub. Additionally when a small shaft, transmitting a relatively high torque is involved, the conical clamp can make effective use of minimal surface area to guarantee against any slipping of the coupler.
