Taking
up the challenge for greater technical demands in modern
machine design and construction, R+W has developed the
BKL series of rigid Bellow Couplings.
These low cost couplings are manufactured with a stainless steel bellow exhibiting very high torsional rigidity with zero backlash. The most important feature of this design is the fact that the bellow can compensate for axial, angular, and lateral misalignment simultaneously.
The moment of inertia is also very low due to its low mass and low weight. The shaft hubs are custom bored on each side for shaft sizes from 4 to 62 mm ( 0.16 to 2.44 in.) with or without keyways.
Sizes are available for torque capacities ranging from 2 to 500Nm (17
to 4,425 in. lbs.).
